Hello, I'm Shannon Enoch, executive director of programs at the Children's Home Society of North Carolina and the host of in real life Foster Care Unfiltered. This podcast is for anyone who's ever thought about fostering anyone who's already walking the road of being a foster parent, or anyone who just wants to understand what foster care really looks like from the inside. For each episode, I'll sit down with real families across North Carolina to hear their stories. You'll meet parents who've navigated reunification, adoption, sibling placements, teens and care, and everything in between. These are going to be raw, honest conversations, the kind we usually don't get to hear at CHS. We support foster families at every step of the way, and this podcast is another way we do that. We believe when families share their truth, others feel seen and encouraged and inspired to step forward too. So whether you're a longtime foster parent just starting the licensing process, or maybe you're wondering if you can do this, we made this podcast for you. This is foster care, unfiltered, and we're so glad you're here.
